Facility and Fields
56ers Indoor Training Facility
The Madison 56ers Indoor Training Facility separates the club from all others in the area. Teams are able to train regularly during the winter months, allowing year-round development for players.
WYSA Coaching Director and Head Coach of the 56ers Men’s PLA Team, Jim Launder, runs a session for 56ers youth players at the indoor facility.
In 2015, the club overhauled and began to lease the Oregon building, and in early 2017 the club closed on the purchase, securing the future for its players.
Coaching Director, Tony Wright, underscores the importance of the facility, which sports a futsal surface: “Players will have the ability to train on a regular basis, cross train with other teams, and play small sided games to maximize touches on the ball. We can also adjust and play 8 v 8, that makes the space multifunctional and perfect for a competitive training environment.”
Reddan Soccer Park
The 56ers have the privilege of using Reddan Soccer Park, one of the best soccer complexes in the Midwest, for its outdoor trainings, home games and fall tournament. The 60 acre facility is located in Verona, WI and is named after Bill Reddan, a founding member of 56ers Soccer Club. Bill also helped create MAYSA (Madison Area Youth Soccer Association) which has grown from 10 teams to over 1,000 today.
Reddan Soccer Park gives the club access to exceptional natural grass fields as well as a turf field that allows 56ers teams to get outside earlier than others can. The park also has lights on two fields, allowing flexibility beyond natural daylight.
“Reddan Soccer Park is a sophisticated facility that gives our players yet another resource to develop at the highest level.” – Tony Wright, 56ers Director of Coaching.
