Welcome to the Madison 56er Tournament web page. On September 10-12, the 23rd annual fall tournament will attract
some of the best teams from across Wisconsin and the Midwest at Reddan Soccer Park.
We have organized the tournament information to make your search as easy as possible. Should you not find

This Year at the Fall Invitational
|
We listened to the feedback we received from our 2009 participants, and we've made a couple of changes for 2010.
|
|
First, every flight in U11-U14 will include a championship game, even flights containing only 4 or 5 teams.
Second, our high-school groups are being run in a "showcase" format: each team will play three full-length games (U15-U16 - 40 minute halves, U17 and older - 45 minute halves). Fees for these age groups have increased by only enough to cover the extra referee fees for the longer games.
Fourth, we're aware that Friday, September 10th, 2010, is the final day of Rosh Hashanah. Because of that, some players and families will be unable to participate in Friday games - if that is the case on your team, let us know and we will not schedule any of your games on the 10th. There is a facility on our registration page to provide this information, or you can let us know with an email to TournamentDirector@madison56ers.org.

Some traditions that we introduced in 2009 will be continued in 2010:

The Saturday evening "Family Tournament Tailgater" was a big success, with great food and beverages from Verona's own Gray's Tied House and music from the Caribbean-style Od Tapa Imi band out of Chicago. Planning is underway for the 2010 party, and more information will be posted in the future. All tournament participants are invited to this fun evening on tournament Saturday.
We will again erect the Coaches' Tent, with shade, seating, complementary food and beverages for participating team coaches on Saturday and Sunday

| Game Information |

Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of three (3) games. U-11 through U-12 teams will play 25
minute halves, U-13 through U-14 teams will play 30 minute halves, U-15 through U-16 will play 40 minute halves, and U-17 and older will play 45
minute halves. Please note: local teams, within 100+ miles of Dane County may be asked to play their opening
games on Friday evening. A three-person refereeing system will be used in all U-11 through U19 games.

- Team Composition
- U11/12 teams can roster up to 14 players. U13-U16 teams can roster up to 18 players. U17 and older teams can roster up to 22 players. Please, no exceptions.
- No more than six guest players per team.
- Required Paperwork
- 56ers Official Tournament Roster (See Forms)
- Copy of State Association approved Team Roster.
- Copy of State Association approved Guest Player Roster, if applicable.
- Copies of Wisconsin Release of Liability and Consent for Medical Treatment forms for each player (available from our tournament website). Teams that already have completed Wisconsin Waivers for league play or other tournaments may submit copies of their existing forms. (See Forms).
- Out-of-state teams: USYSA Travel Application form, approved by your state association. A copy of our Tournament Sanction Form may be required to obtain permit: it is available at our tournament website. (See Forms)
The copies you submit will be retained by the tournament and not returned.
- Mail in your Team Paperwork by August 18th.
This year we are offering Express Check-In to teams who mail in the above required paperwork by August 18th, 2010. Send it to:

- Mandatory On-Site Check-In
- Express Check-In: teams that mail in their required paperwork need only their player passes to check in, and can use our express check-in lines. You must check in at least 45 minutes prior to your first game.
- Regular Check-In: bring all required team paperwork and player passes to check-in, and use the full-service check-in line. You must check in at least 90 minutes prior to your first game.
